How to Build Resilient, Sustainable Products Using Permaculture Principles
A One-Day Immersive Workshop at Panmayam
Are your teams burning out? Is your product brittle?
In our rush to "move fast and break things," we often build products that are fragile, teams that are exhausted, and systems drowning in tech debt. We're stuck in a short-term loop of features and fixes, struggling to find long-term sustainability.
What if there's a better-designed, more resilient way?
Nature has been building self-sustaining, waste-free, and incredibly resilient systems for billions of years. Permaculture is the design philosophy that learns from these natural patterns.
This workshop isn't in a conference room. We are swapping whiteboards for walking paths and slide decks for soil. For one day, we will step onto a working permaculture farm to learn a revolutionary framework for building products, teams, and a more sustainable way of working.
What You Will Learn
This is an experiential workshop, not a lecture. You will learn to:
Observe & Interact: Go beyond user interviews. Learn how to observe your product's "ecosystem" (your users, market, and team) with a new perspective.
Translate Principles: Understand the 12 core permaculture principles and translate them directly into product strategy.
"Produce No Waste" → How to truly tackle tech debt and team burnout.
"Use & Value Diversity" → Building for niche audiences and creating resilient teams.
"Use Small & Slow Solutions" → A new take on MVPs and iterative development.
Design for Resilience: Apply a new systems-thinking framework to solve complex product challenges in a hands-on design charrette.
Cultivate, Don't Build: Develop a new language to discuss product health, user retention, and long-term strategy with your team.
Who Is This For?
This workshop is designed for the curious and creative minds of The Product Space community:
Product Managers seeking new frameworks for strategy and prioritization.
UX/UI Designers & Researchers wanting to design more holistic and sustainable user experiences.
Founders & Entrepreneurs looking to build resilient companies and products from the ground up.
Engineering Leads & Architects tired of fighting tech debt and wanting to build healthier systems.
Anyone who feels "stuck" in the feature factory and is looking for a more meaningful way to build.
